What is OneSchool Companion?

A desktop app for teachers that brings class rolls, behaviour tracking, seating plans and parent contact together, working alongside OneSchool, Compass and Outlook.

What computer do I need?

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). A Mac version is planned.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

Sign up on 4eq.co with your email, choose Start my 14-day free trial, and you get a licence key and the download — 14 days, no card needed. There's one free trial per person every two years (other addresses of yours, and the same card, count as the same person).

What does it cost?

Does it work without the internet?

Yes, for a while: the app checks your licence with 4eq.co when it can, and keeps working for up to 5 days without a connection. When a 14-day free trial ends (or a subscription is cancelled), the app moves to the Free plan: 1 class, with ads, and some features locked until you subscribe.

Why are there ads?

Only the Free plan shows ads — our own, not an ad network's. They appear beside the main menu, before a class update and briefly when you open Teach/View. No student or class information is used or sent to show them. Any paid plan removes them.

How does refer a friend work?

Copy your link from My account and send it to a colleague. When they subscribe with a card on 4eq.co through your link (even during their free trial), you get a free week, up to 52 weeks. You keep it even if they cancel later. They need to start from your link on 4eq.co — a trial started inside the app isn't linked to you.

How many computers can I use?

Each licence key works on up to 2 computers (for example school and home). You can see and remove computers under My account.

Where is student data kept?

On your computer only. 4eq.co handles billing and licensing — student and school data never leaves your machine. Your OneSchool, Compass and Outlook passwords are typed into those sites' own windows and are never sent to us. Full details: where your data lives.

I've lost my licence key.

Sign in and open My account — your key is shown there. You can also reissue it (this signs out your current computers).

How do I cancel or change my plan?

In My account, open the billing portal. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Is this the same login as the puzzle builder (voceda)?

Yes — one login works on both sites. Each has its own membership.

How do I report a problem or suggest something?

Use Report a Bug in the app, or the feedback page when signed in. You'll see our replies there.
